About The Free Edit

The Free Edit is a hand-picked list of tools for people who build for the web.

The Free Edit was built as an alternative to omnipresent “50 best tools” listicles that can be difficult to sift through, are often ranked for search performance rather than usefulness, and quickly become outdated as products evolve and links break. Instead, The Free Edit is a growing, curated selection of tools chosen for the qualities that actually matter to developers. Each recommendation is designed to remain useful, relevant, and easy to navigate as the landscape changes.
